Hi, I’m Jeanette, and I created Cocoon Casa for anyone who’s looked at their home, or their closet, and thought “I don’t even know where to start.”

You don’t need to start big. I promise.

I’m a Southern California based home and lifestyle blogger, a divorced mom of three, and someone who works a full time corporate job just like a lot of you. My body has changed more times than I can count, pregnancy weight that came and went and came back differently, even my shoe size isn’t what it used to be. I’ve built a home and a style that work for the woman I am now, not the one I used to be, and I want the same for you.

Why I started Cocoon Casa

I built this site because I kept running into the same problem twice, once with my home and once with my closet, all while working full time and raising three kids mostly on my own. Most decor advice assumes unlimited space and an unlimited budget. Most style advice assumes a body that hasn’t changed in ten years. Mine has, and my style still works.

You don’t need a professional organizer or a stylist. You need a few things that actually work, the right pieces, a few honest systems, and a little creativity. That’s true for a room and it’s true for a wardrobe, and it’s true for figuring out how to build a future for yourself while you’re still doing your 9-5 every day. Once I figured out what actually made a difference in my own home, my own closet, and my own finances, I wanted to share it.

The older I get, the more I’ve realized wisdom shows up in the small stuff, knowing what to let go of, what’s actually worth the money, and what can wait. That’s the version of this I want to share.
